Come join Kathie Bridges for some painting fun! Our Painting Pals workshops will promote a unique and exciting time of creating artwork together that will leave lasting memories! Each participant will create their own painting. All painting materials will be provided by BPD. Please bring a painting smock to protect your clothing. This class is our Mother's Day edition--come with mom, grandma, or aunt and enjoy some tasty cookies and juice. *Each registration includes one child and one adult.

Grab a friend and join us for an evening of crafts, good food and fun with Amber! During this workshop each participant will be making a lightweight door hanger to add to their bedroom decor. Upon registration, you will be prompted to select a theme for your child's board: 1. Byron Dance; 2. Byron Tigers; 3. Sports. All participants will decorate a 12-inch round board to their liking with guided directions and tips from Amber. Pizza and pop will be included with each registration. This class happens over the course of two days: August 8 & 9. Come join local Artist Kathie Bridges for a creative and innovative way to make art! Have you ever wondered how some things are made? Or wanted to create some unique sculptures from a variety of items? If so, then this class is for you! During Art from Parts, you will learn how to deconstruct various objects such as old electronics and use dissembled pieces to reconstruct your very own one of a kind sculptures and masterpieces. This class will spark imagination and creativity in a multitude of ways! Both classes take place at the Blackhawk Park Shelter. *Parents: although safety will be highly stressed and your child will have adult supervision, we will be using tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire cutters etc. to deconstruct and re-build their sculptures. We will also be using non-washable paint for our projects. Please send your artist with a pair of work gloves, safety glasses and in old clothing.
