Coming this winter 2023, Byron Civic Theater is proud to take on Marius Petipa's ballet "The Nutcracker". Set to the score of Pyotr Tchaikovsky's Opus 71 and based off of the short story by E.T.A. Hoffmann, The Nutcracker is a beloved ballet masterpiece that has been performed all around the world since its creation in 1892. BCT's production of The Nutcracker will be headed by Jessica Julian: Cultural Arts Program Manager and Artistic Director of the Byron Dance Academy, and Andrew Mahan: Artistic Director and Ballet Master of Gateway Performing Arts.
